Social networking has grown in importance over the past several years so much so that a number of blog owners, forum managers and web developers have largely abandoned their own sites in favor of Facebook, Twitter and the rest. Though I certainly agree that social networking is very important, I still believe that there is plenty of room for niche sites, particularly those for underserved careers or specialties.
I have crossed paths with many people on Facebook and Twitter so I know you've been making good use of these sites. From the get-go, I've created a Twitter account for JetVenue (@jetvenue) where we can follow each other beyond this site. I may eventually create a Facebook page for Jet Venue, but at this time I am happy to share a few tweets and exchange follows. Sorry, you cannot send me a FarmVille cow!
If I don't follow (friend) you back on Facebook and elsewhere, please do not feel offended. If I spend too much time elsewhere, then I don't get much else done. As far as business aviation goes I'll be restricting my involvement to Jet Venue and Twitter for now while also visiting aviation blogs or forums from time to time.
