One of the powerful weapons in any forum arsenal is the user profile. With many forums people choose to remain anonymous because they want to be able to post without fear of recrimination. Besides, there are enough cyber creeps out there to raise concern.
With Jet Venue, you can choose to remain anonymous too. As I've done in the past, I'm not about to share who you really are (I don't always know), but you may want to "go public" with that information especially if you are trying to find work.
Your personal profile can be filled out by you and changed as often as you want. In fact, you may want to add the following information to help people find you:
Your real name. Your screen name shows up in your profile, but you have the option whether to tell people who you really are.
Website link. If you have a website or your full resume is posted elsewhere, why not link to it. BTW, Jet Venue offers members the option to post and host their resume here for free with a complimentary link in the sidebar under "Cabin Crew Resume." Sorry, This option is not available to pilots, technicians and other business aviation personnel…yet.
Short biography. You can tell people about yourself in this section or you can use it to post your availability. Just remember to keep this information up to date.
Other contact info. Following the biography section is where you can choose to include some of your online methods for contact including Facebook, Twitter and Google Talk. Yes, why not make it easy for people to contact you ASAP?
Anyone can read your profile by clicking on the icon at the beginning of your post. If you want to update and maintain your profile then click on the icon tab for Profile and make your changes. Soon, you'll have one more effective weapon at your disposal, one that could make it easier for you to find work.
