Flight Options Takes Delivery of First Phenom 300

Embraer Phenom 300

Fractional share operator Flight Options has taken delivery of an all new aircraft from Brazilian jet maker, Embraer. Last week, the Cleveland based company received the first of what Aviation Week reports will be 100 Phenom 300 jets, a 7 passenger business aircraft with a range of 2071sm.

Cost Savings

Flight Options’ fleet includes the 13 passenger Embraer Legacy in addition to seven and eight passenger jets such as the Hawker 400XP, Hawker 800XP and Citation X. The Phenom 300, certified by the FAA in December 2009, promises to deliver a lower cost per hour (estimated at $3778) while selling for around the same price as its competitors. Flight Options lists that price at $525,000 per aircraft.

Speaking on behalf of Flight Options CEO Mike Silvestro said, “We expect that the Phenom 300 will be a true game changer in the fractional market place. What makes this aircraft so unique is that not only will it offer best in class cabin comfort, range and baggage capacity, but it will do so while operating at the lowest cost per mile of any light jet. In fact, the all inclusive cost per hour for the Phenom is approximately 25% less then its closest competitor.”

Tech Features

Flight Options says that the Phenom 300 offers features not available in its class including an iPod docking station and broadband wireless Internet access.

To mark the jet’s debut, Flight Options will embark on a 40 city tour beginning in June to showcase their latest offering. The jet will make stops in and around New York City, Chicago, Las Vegas and Dallas.
